Meiners Oaks Park

This letter is to provide my strong support and endorsement for Meiners Oaks Park, a 2-acre nature-focused park where community can gather and share; designed as a place for young and young at heart to roam, play, explore, create, and connect with our native plants and animal neighbors. 

 

I believe that the park will have a positive effect on our community by creating a space for community events, by creating a shade corridor with the addition of many native plants and trees to combat climate change; all designed to inspire the young and young at heart to playfully connect with the environment, inspiring a devotion to preserving and protecting the natural world.

 

I also strongly support the mission of Meiners Oaks Parks 501c3, which is; “To acquire and/or maintain designed open spaces in Meiners Oaks for the benefit of the natural environment and to enhance the lives of residents of Meiners Oaks and the greater Ojai Valley”.

 

In closing, I strongly support this project and feel that it would benefit our community and serve as a model for developing nature-focused interactive play areas for the young and young at heart in Ventura County and throughout the state.
